Hello,

as I'm totally new with MapPoint, I got a serious problem. I got a table (postcodes of Germany) in Access. I need to add two fields with latitude and longitude for each postcode, as I have to calculate the distance from various places. The calculating routine works just perfect, but the data for my postcode table is simply too large. Does anyone know, how I can do that (not manually each by each) with code? I got MapPoint 2004 and Access 2000.

Using lat/lon can you just do a straight line distance calculation between the post codes or do you need the road/Route distance from MapPoint?

If you have a list of all the postcodes, you should be able to do a Find on each one and place a Pushpin.. either through code you could extract the lat/lon's or using something like to Pushpin Tool to export to Excel.

thank you for your quick answer. Yes, I intend to just calculate straight lines from a to b. I do have the list of all postcodes already(sometimes 1 postcode,5 different little villages or towns) could you tell me how to use my list, better ... how to pushpin each of them and get the latitude and longitude for each pushpin? (best would be code !! )
