My co. has just purchased MP N.A. 2004 and has given me the task of
understanding how to use it. Their primary aim is to track sales of
home heating and air cond. units to residences within a 75 mi. radius
of our city. I have an excel database to use with pertinent info.

My question: Is there any way to make a copy of a section of a map whith data plotted on it and then print and piece together in a large map like a banner? What software can I use? I know Publisher will print in banner mode, but is there any way to import sections of an area to be pieced together to make a large map to be printed?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

John, can I ask a related questin?

I need a map of the U.S. (48 states only) and I can only print what I see on the screen. I need to zoom in 1 or 2 levels more then print.
I have access to a 44" plotter at work , but it's the print what I see on screen that's holding me back.
As it is,m when I zoom I end up with only a few states.

How are you zooming in? Are you holding the left mouse and draging right an down?

Expermint with saving as webpage with different map size in pixels and use the gif file for printing.

I am saving as a web page and extracting the .gif out of the folder it creates.

It would be nice if I could select a 3500x3500 space on the map and print it, then use the same selection and move it over to choose another region-print it, and so on. Later to physically staple the maps together, that would be good enough.

Any way to trick the software into printing at a higher res? I think 4200x4200 should do nicely.

Let me know what you find out...as it sounds like I'm having the same issue.

I'm wanting to print US data that codes all zips in the US to see what types of services I can offer. Looks good when zoomed in as I have the data in Excel that I need. But when I some out, it's gray as I guess MapPoint can't draw the entire US with to the detail I need.

I have a Mattys map in my office, it's pretty neat. Nonetheless, ask to see the image first (there is an image preparation fee) and make sure it's what you want.
