I am trying to import California census tract data from a 3rd party provider into Mappoint, from Excel. For some reason about 1/2 of the 7000+ census tracts in the data set that I have are NOT being recognized by mappoint. It looks like the main ones not being recognized are those census tracts with leading zeros in my data file or those without any zeros following the decimal point, but when I manually "correct" a few of these records to test if they will get imported by either adding or removing these zeros, there still seems to be a problem with them not matching.

Questions:
- Does anybody know what is the proper format for census tract data to be accurately imported by Mappoint?
- Has anybody else had similar difficulties?

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere here before - I searched the forum for similar topics but got a ton of hits on unrelated problems.
