    Pulling USA demographics from mappoint

Alright so I know that that mappoint has demographic info built in but I would like to pull some of it out. i noticed that mappoint is able to give the median/mean income of a zipcode area. I would like to pull this out so I went into the USAdemo.mdb file (password is Geo80 if you care) but I am unsure of where the zipcode information is. There seems to be a number of tables with income info but no table with zipcode info

anyway any help would be apreciated

    thanks

I think if you're delving into the mdb (btw, thanks for sharing the password, when I started to read your post I was going to recommend hunting that down), you're on your own.

I'd imagine there are few people who are doing that (diving into the mdb) and it's definitely not something supported by MS.

hmm I found an easier way

While playing with the demographic database was fun I found a better way to get this info I thought I'd share for those interested

    1. Click Data, and then click Data Mapping Wizard.
    2. Click Shaded Area, and then click Next.
    3. Click Add Demographics to the map, click the map that you want in the list box, and then click Next.
    4. Under Select the data field or column to map, click the field or the column that you want.
    5. Under Show the data by, click ZIP Code, and then click Next.
    6. Click Finish.
    7. In MapPoint, select the area you that you want ZIP codes for.
    8. Right-click the area that you selected, and then click Export to Excel.

    enjoy
