Push pins to denote visited places

Hi. I need to import an Excel spreadsheet of addresses with the usual columns (street, city, state, etc). I have another column called "Visited" with yes/no. I want to be able to import the entire list of addresses, but only show a push pin for those places visited. I also want to be able to toggle the visibility of the push pins based on a "yes" in the "Visited" column. How can I do this? Thanks!

Re: Push pins to denote visited places

Hi,

Programatically it is easy to do. Do you mean so, or do you mean to do it in the mappoint user interface ?

Re: Push pins to denote visited places

Thanks for the response. For now, doing it in the gui is good enough. I was able to get what I want by dividing by the "Visited" column in the Data Mapping Wizard. I chose one color for visited = yes and another for visited = no. Is there another way to do this? If not, that's fine.

Cheers,

Re: Push pins to denote visited places

Hi,

I dont think so, but I'm not sure. I only use mappoint from within my own applications. Please keep checking the forum, if possible then others will respond to you.

Re: Push pins to denote visited places

Hi
Could someone be nice with a newbie & post a little code to achieve a very similar request? Would be of a great help!!!
(Using Mappoint Europe 2002)

I have been looking at the forum & beginnerrs tips but I'm still quite far from the solution & can not go any forward now

Aim:
- load from Excel an existing map with manually done territories
- place pushpins from an Excel list of addresses/cities/Zip codes...
- Need to have different pushpins in different color & type according to 2 criteria:
1. Adress active Yes or No (Yes only should appear. No should be ignored or hidden)
2. Type of address (A/B/C/D)

Many thanks in advance!
