QueryShape or QueryPolygon NOT IN

I can do this via SQL

but can MP perform a NOT in shape or NOT in polygon ?

I've looked through the OM - I SWEAR I recall seeing this before.

any insights anyone ?

ESRI Map Objects had this - of some 14 means of addressing point in poly

I've got a Custom Poly, or a Shape object

want to see NOT IN

again, I can solve this via SQL

but was wondering if MP could do this from it's own Object Model.

Thanks in advance WinWaed ! jk

thanks in advance MP community, this is where I come, NOT MS forums !

to that - thanks eric.

Re: QueryShape or QueryPolygon NOT IN

No, you will need to loop through the pushpinset that you are interested in and compare it against the shape.

Or you could do the QueryShape first. Then loop through the pushpinset, testing each pin to see if it is not in the QueryShape results.

The MapPoint QueryShape/etc interface is good for first level things ("give me the pushpins in this shape") but anything more complicated has to be coded manually.
