questen about a motor route i have for delivering papers

i have a large paper route and it has been taking me about 4 hours to finish it, i was wondering if map point would work to help me to make the route as short as possible, if it could show me the quickest possible ways from adress to adress and order the addresses from as short to each as possible.

Mappoint for Paper route

Absolutely. This is exactly the kind of job that Mappoint was designed for. Simply enter all your delivery points, then ask mappoint to calculate the route and optimize. The result will be the quickest way around your route.

Occasionally Mappoint does make small errors while calculating optimised routes with large numbers of waypoints in close proximity to eachother. These errors are small and (usually) fairly insignificant.

Hope this helps

Chris

We currently use mappoint for optimizing all of our newspaper routes.

ask your district manager if they are able to export your delivery list into excel for faster results.

If your route is in a growth area, you will find that the current version of mappoint will not locate all of your customers.

I would suggest you try S&T 2005 if you only plan to use this product for your own route. It is significantly cheaper and more up to date.
