question about mile charter & map point

ok so im not sure how to ask this but ill try my best. im a delivery guy and i charge people by distance (cents per mile) plus gas. i made territories on mappoint and to do the calculations between them would take forever. what im trying to do is get those calculations from milecharter to excel then back to mappoint and get them to show up on a selected territory so i dont have to do it 1 by 1. i also want that data to be easily accessible for example if someone wants to know how much its going to cost to go from a to b i can do a quick search and it will show up. is it possible to do this and can someone help me or show me where i can figure it out? thanks!!!!!

Re: question about mile charter & map point

It depends how you want to display it - and I think that would be the problem - working out the best way of displaying the results in MapPoint.

You already have pushpin data, so you could display the results as data fields in the pushpin "balloons".

Do this by setting MileCharter to produce a sheet with one result per row.
Many-to-one calculations would do this by default, but a one-to-many would require the axes to be reversed. Set it to also write the coordinates out.

Then with your completed Excel sheet, tidy the top rows up so there are only the column titles (ie. the coordinates are only displayed for the rows and not the column).
Then create a new map, and import the data using the Data Import Wizard. Use the names as names, and use the coordinates to locate the pins. The mileage distance (or computation time, or cost) can then be read in as a data field. To read all three, you will need to cut & paste from the other charts to have one worksheet.
