We have a large contingent of mobile users who travel to remote areas of Northern Canada to camps for the mining, forestry, and oil and gas industries. These camps are usually off paved secondary roads and quite literally off the beaten track. Our mobile users need to create routes while they are traveling to these sites. These recocrded routes would then be used by the operations team and supply and service vehicles traveling to the sites.

The mobile users need to connect their GPS devices to their laptops and in real-time record their routes. Because of the difficulty and danger of traveling the remote roads and terrain, the users would prefer not to have to maually put in way points. Is there 3rd party software or add-ons that could be used with MP that would automatically create way points every time or distance interval set by the user?
