Records that I want to convert to itn files

Hi

Can anyone help me with a project I am trying to carry out, please ?

I have a database that can be exported either in asc or csv and in this database I have all the postcodes, names and telephone numbers.

What I want to be able to do, is take this data and convert it into a file that can be used by the TomTom 5 GPS itinerary programme, which has a itn extension, can anyone help, please.

To precis it, I think the 'conversion programme or software' will have to pickup the postcode and convert it into longitude and latitiude co-ordinates from the csv or asc file automatically and then produce an itn file that can be used by TomTom 5 software.

I am trying to import all my customers and potential customers into TomTom 5 so that we can visit them logically.

Thank you

Charles

Hi,

If you have Mappoint,

1° Import your database to mappoint, it's easy if you have correct addresses.
2° Calculate your Itinerary using the PushPins representing your favorite waypoints.
3° Save it as YouItinerary.ptm for instance.
4° If you don't want to make some programming, you have some free
programms to convert Mappoint files *.ptm to tomtom files *.itn ;
Here is one : http://leforres.perso.cegetel.net/itnconv.zip

5° Look at forums talking about GPS like www.gpspassion.com.

Ciao

Mappoint and Droms

Hi Calv1ns,

Io sono italiano , italiano vero !!!!
But I prefer the couscous, more than the spaghettis !!!!

I came to Mappoint because I have my own company selling couscous
in Paris.
Mappoint is not expensive and I use it to optimize the delivery system with my Camels.
So you have a good hot couscous at home in time.
More and more, I can see a lot of PushPins representing my clients.
I have no "RED" color because I don't have any UNSATISFIED people!!!

Visit my website http://www.atlas-couscous.com , you will see a DROMEDARY in the center of Paris waiting in a "waypoint", ...

But my main job is consultant for the Retailing groups,
especially in the South of Europe and Morocco.

So I have to learn a lot of languages!!!

Arrivederci

Camels

Hey Moh

I have some ACL Units for you. http://www.fleetscan.com

ACL? Automatic Camel Location!!

It is good to optimize your routes but better to know the camels are actually using the optimized route.

Unfortunately I all I speak is Canadien eh. Bon chance avec couscous.

Ciao,
