Reload problem

How can i dynamically add pushpins in VB.NET 2003 on a MapPoint 2004 map without a reload. When i add a pushpin now it reloads the whole map, which i dont want. Is it possible to fix this ? How can you best calculate a driven route ? pushpins or waypoints ? and how can i do this, it must be accurate so i want to add a pushpin or waypoint every minute or something.
