A new MapPoint user here, more of an end-user than a developer.

I've created a map displaying the drive times from a push pin point, displaying three different lines in different colors indicating different drive times.

Problem: each line is identified with a rectangular box displaying the number of minutes inside the box. I'd like to suppress this tag and simply use an inset to indicate the key to the different color lines.

The times indicated in the tags are waaay off. For instance, the radius for what MapPoint thinks is 20 minutes corresponds to 30 minutes in normal traffic, 45-60 minutes during rush hour. Moreover, the tags constitute visual clutter.

If you right-click on any of the polygons and choose Hide Size the label disappears.

If you choose Route in the main menu, then More Options, then Driving Speeds this allows you to adjust speeds by different road types. However my experience is that changing things here doesn't make that much difference to the drive bands, so you'll need to experiment. Alternatively you could consider this free add-in that allows you to assign specific speeds to different road types:

For things like insets explaining the lines you may be better using a graphics editor on the map image. A lot of my maps get included in Powerpoint slides so I tend to use Powerpoint to put on nicer looking add-ons.
