| Restarting 2004 I'm using Visual Studio 2003 and a mixture of Visual Basic and C#. The Mappoint is used in the Visual Basic part of the code. I'm working on a application that originally had Mappoint 2004. This was upgraded to 2006 without too much difficulty. I've now had to go back to 2004 so I deleted 2006 from the PC (easier to supply this to customers) but I've lost my Mappoint control. How do I get it back. I've tried Tools ...Add/Remove Toolbox Items but there is no mention of Microsoft Mappoint. I'm guessing that the system in deleting 2006 didn't pick up that 2004 was still present. Do I have to uninstall/reinstall 2004 to get it working or is there another option? Thanks Colander |

Hi I'm trying that now but it has failed twice. Probably due to the big scores on the disc. Am trying to get hold of another copy. It seems the way to go is to uninstall or try and repair. So it seems I've just got to go through the documented start up process again. Thanks Colander |

Hi, You have to register it again. go to the right folder and type: MapPoint.exe /registerserver Then you can add it again in VS
