I have written an application in VB code with a MapPoint control that calculates a route. The route is calculated according to the "quickest" method (I checked the same data in the full MapPoint software).

The code looks like this:
objRoute.Calculate

How do I set the "shortest" method in VB code?

That´s a property that you can set for each segment of the route:

objRoute.Waypoints.Item(1).SegmentPreferences = geoSegmentShortest

This is the closest post to my question so apologies for butting in.

I have an access database of journeys, with from and to. I have to calculate the distance and time required to complete the journey.
I wrote a little VB program to do this.

Because there is so much data(140,000 records) I am processing on a number of PC's. However I am finding that the DISTANCE calculated is different on each PC.
It looks like each PC is taking a different route. One the quickest one the shortest one preferred routes.
I have set the segments option to quickest but the problem remains. Any ideas what could be happening?
