routing multiple vehicles

We would like to use mappoint to take a set of stops with time constraints. A pickup and a drop off within a given time. Find another pickup and drop off that can be added to the route. Each pickup or drop off will have a specific length of time needed to load or unload the client.

Would like to group the trips together and then have our own filters applied, and re run the optimizer to see if we can get better results.

We will do the following after route is created:
There will be constraints for some of the trips (ie, if it has a wheel chair, take away one capacity - instead of six passengers, there will only be room for 5.

We can for example take the results that MP gives us and add the contraints and throw out the results back into the open work for another go around.

Is this just clear as mud (am not a programmer, but have staff of programmers C#.net)

Re: routing multiple vehicles

I am sorry, I did not realize until after I posted the first one that the question really did not apply to the first one. I am new at this.

Re: routing multiple vehicles

Hello Buffy,

we have a .NET component that may help you with your problem. JOpt.NET is an automated vehicle routing and resource scheduling component for .NET and can be integrated with C#,C++,VB and J#. JOpt.NET creates an optimum schedule in terms of truck's payload to empty ratio and minimizes overall road
mileage. Given any arbitrary number of jobs, JOpt.NET determines the most cost effective truck allocation including driver's attributes or skills, capacities, working times and multiple time constraints at tour stops.

For 6 busses may be a cost effective alternative.
