    Question Save map.ptm in dialog

    Hi?

    I'm using this mapPoint ocx control.
    my env is mappointcontrol.ocx and javascript function in jsp
    and Mappoint version is mappoint 2006, North American version.

    all of the function of the function is possible except for objMapPoint.ActiveMap.Saved = true;

    while I search this website I found that is the method to get rid of "Save map.ptm" in Dialog Box. but, as I tried to this function, but this messagebox is appeared continusly.

    code is(it is java Script Function),

    function init()
    {

    objMap = document.all.objMapPoint.NewMap("c:\\windows\\syst em32\\KoreaMap.ptm") ;

    for(i=0; i < countItem; i++) {
    for (j = 0; j < countAttr; j++)
    if(IPData[i*6+4] >= IPAttr[j * 7])
    break;
    if(j >= countAttr)
    j = countAttr - 1;
    objIndex[i] = j;

    Draw_Linedest(IPData[i*6 +1]+","+IPData[i*6 +1]+","+IPData[i*6+0], IPData[i*6+3]+","+IPData[i*6+3]+","+IPData[i*6+2], IPData[i*6+4], IPAttr[j*7+4], IPAttr[j*7+1], IPAttr[j*7+2], IPAttr[j*7+3], IPData[i*6+0], i, IPData[i*6+5])
    }

    //objMapPoint.ActiveMap.Saved = 1;
    objMapPoint.ActiveMap.Saved = true;
    setTimeout("mapTimer()", 5000); //2000 -> 5000
    setTimeout("refreshMap()", 30000);

    }

    I have to make the monitoring screen and it continue to refresh. but this save map.ptm message is appeared continously
    Does anybody help me to repair it?

    Re: Save map.ptm in dialog

    I think it is because the map object is going out of scope and thus closing the mappoint instance?

    See if you can keep the map object open and not close each time.

    Re: Save map.ptm in dialog

    thanks for your message.

    I change my code, but it appears continously.

    mycode is that,

    function init()
    {

    objMap = document.all.objMapPoint.NewMap("c:\\windows\\syst em32\\KoreaMap.ptm") ;

    for(i=0; i < countItem; i++) {
    for (j = 0; j < countAttr; j++)
    if(IPData[i*6+4] >= IPAttr[j * 7])
    break;
    if(j >= countAttr)
    j = countAttr - 1;
    objIndex[i] = j;

    Draw_Linedest(IPData[i*6 +1]+","+IPData[i*6 +1]+","+IPData[i*6+0], IPData[i*6+3]+","+IPData[i*6+3]+","+IPData[i*6+2], IPData[i*6+4], IPAttr[j*7+4], IPAttr[j*7+1], IPAttr[j*7+2], IPAttr[j*7+3], IPData[i*6+0], i, IPData[i*6+5])
    }

    //objMapPoint.ActiveMap.Saved = 1;
    objMapPoint.ActiveMap.Saved = true;
    setTimeout("mapTimer()", 5000); //2000 -> 5000
    objMap.Quit;
    alert("quit");

    setTimeout("refreshMap()", 30000);

    }

    and refreshMap() is,
    function refreshMap()
    {
    url = "map.jsp";
    // objMap.Quit;
    window.location.href = url; // open(url);

    }
