You could "save as webpage" and then extract the resulting GIF images from the sub-directory that is created. Richard

| Re: Saving MapPoint Legends in .NET
I know how to copy the legend manually, but i am attempting to write the code to either save or copy the legend in VB.NET so that I can automate the process. I am not aware of how to grab hold of the legend since it does not appear to be part of the map. I could not find any solutions where someone has done this before. How do I programmatically grab hold of the legend and copy or save it to a file? Thanks, Lee |

| Re: Saving MapPoint Legends in .NET
The programming interface has a "save to web" function. Use this - if you tell it to create a legend, then a GIF image of the legend will be created in the sub-directory that is created. Richard

Richard, Thanks for helping me to understand the SaveToWeb functionality. I have one more question on the SaveToWeb functionality. Is it possible to save the entire legend instead of receiving one gif file per range in the the legend? Thanks, Lee |

I don't think so. I've used it more for the map images rather than the legend. If it isn't in the options in the help, then you probably can't do it. Richard
