    Nice Application! I just have some questions about it;

    -Does it take into account the Stop Time?
    - Can it compare the system route (calculated tour) to the Actual Route (graphically or numerically)?

    When you show the different tours in one map...is that mapppoint or your VRP? I believe that mappoit doesn't allow you to show more than one map at a time

    Thanks

    Schedule a Stop

    I too am interested in MP taking into consideration a desired stop time, please inform me on how to do this.

    Hi,
    the fixed stop-time is defined at each customer. Every delivery has a variable stop-time. The complete stop-time is the sum of both.

    For the architecture: Mappoint copies the current map into the clipboard, I take the bitmap from the clipboard and draw it on the canvas of my program. The I can put additional layers on the canvas i.e. the tours. I found this the best possibility for graphical representation.

    For the routing: MapPoint calculates the distance between each pair of customer. This value is written in a database (and cached in memory). Then I can do my (TSP=traveling salesman problem) optimization of tours respecting time-windows, having stop-times, tardiness..

    Cheers
    Rainer
