Hello,

I am just a simple user of MapPoint, not using imported information or anything, just the standard program. I installed MapPoint 2004 North America on my new computer today, and now the program is not showing the text balloons. How can I solve this problem?

For example: I create a simple route with the routeplanner, no imported information, just standard information from the program. When I select "find nearby places" I select a hotel, and double-clicking is supposed to result in a text balloon. But it is not!

Whe I open routes that I created on my old computer, showing a number of text balloons, including balloons with push-pins that I created myself, these balloons and these push-pins are not visible. When I open the file on the old computer, the balloons are visible.

What is my problem?
I have the same problem with "Microsoft Streets and Tips 2004".

I don't know.. have you tried right-clicking instead of double-clicking?

Problem is solved! Seems that the windows files that are being used by mappoint were corrupt, because of a number of errors during the first installation of the program. We did actually uninstall mappoint, but that did not solve the problem. We had to reconfigure the computer totally, and install it all over again from the beginning. After that the problem was solved!
