Can the mappoint show only one county like New York on screen or print it? Because I find the county boundaries are not clear.

I have a solution for a problem similar to what you are mentioning.. (i.e. covering up states):
http://www.mp2kmag.com/downloads/individual.state/
It would be some work but still relatively traightforward to extend this to counties..
