:helpsmilie:Hello et Bonjour.

I am a software developer and I am in need of calculating mileage (and kilometers) between two cities with a MS Access Truck dispatch program.

Can any one give me a quick MapPoint 101 intro to how it interfaces with MS Access?

For example, when a dispatcher enters the origin city+state/prov in an Access form field (originCity) and then enters the destination city (destCity), how can I interface these two points with MapPoint to calculate the mileage into a third form field (mileage)? Is there a macro call or do I have to create this?

I'm a newbie here, so please be gentle. ;)

Thanks in advance,

There are some articles with examples in Access on MP2Kmag --

MapPoint Articles - MP2K Magazine (http://www.mp2kmag.com/articles.asp)

Here's a couple that come to mind, but you can search for the word "access" on that page..

Tracking P.F. Chang’s in the Midwest (http://www.mp2kmag.com/a71--pf.changs.access.mappoint.html)

Home Locator Sample Application (http://www.mp2kmag.com/a74--home.locator.mappoint.html)
