View Full Version : Adding MapPoint 2010 to my project

After installing MapPoint 2010 onto my PC, it somehow was loaded by my program, rather than MapPoint 2004, which I had configured my program to reference. But I want to explicitly reference to MapPoint 2010, but do not know how.

In the References folder, I see a reference to MapPoint and AxMapPoint, and do remember there was a special step I needed to take to generate this wrapper file. But I have forgotten, it was long ago.

Could someone please tell me all the steps needed to add a reference (or references) from my Visual Studio 2008 project to MapPoint 2010?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi,

The application as well as the activeX component take the registered version of mappoint in case more of them are installed.

to register it you can type:
MapPoint.exe /RegServer

So, this means I do not need to change any references in the project?
