Hi all,

I was wondering if in SliverLight for Bing maps is it possible to
1) When page is loaded, to show instead of the map of the world, show a particular area ie london
2) Also is it possible to shade certain areas witin london, ie east london to be red west london to be green?? (Ino this is possible in AJAX version of bing maps). If so is there any links I could follow.
3) the features of what u can do in Bing maps AJAX which you cannot do in SliverLight for Bing maps

Any help is appreciated.

milli: Try looking on the Microsoft site. You could definitely set the position and view area with the CTP (Community Technology Preview) - I wrote a demo that zoomed, and panned, and rotated, and did all sorts of motion-sickness-inducing things! The article was published over at GeoWebGuru but it was the CTP it probably doesn't work now it has been released.

You should be able to also annotate the maps although i haven't done this myself.
Microsoft seem to be putting the emphasis into Silverlight, so I would expect all AJAX features to appear soon if they are not present at the moment.
