At my company, we do most of our printing in black and white. This makes it difficult to distinguish between your dark colors, ie- dark red and blue look pretty similar in black and white. We use MapPoint 2009, is there a way to shade using patterns like you can with graphs in Excel? Please help. Thanks.

I see where a method could be developed to handle your request.
Make a capture, then extract the bitmap, then apply the routine.

Can you say that in lay man's terms? Or as my buddy would say, dumb that done a little, so I can understand your methodology b/c right now it's going right over my head. :eek2:

Thanks for the help!

I was thinking that you could define the pattern you want before
you make the territory and then read that property through code.

The property could just be a number or letter.

Then a capture would be made (I do this) and then the pattern
could automatically be applied where indicated by the property.

The one occasion I tried to do patterns it was for a one off. So I took a screenshot (Michael is better at this than I!), and I then edited the image in a paint program.

To be honest the results were very so-so. Although we could use a dozen or so different stipple patterns, it was very difficult to tell them apart, so we ended up re-assigning the data to show less detail and only 4-5 patterns.
