MapPoint: Route Management

I am starting to use Mappoint to route a set of pickups and deliveries. I have noticed 2 things I am concerened about.

1. The route developed has the driver stopping at even and odd addresses sequentially. The problem is that this causes the driver to cross the street. This is a safety problem and I would like to view each side of the street essentially as a different street.

Is there a way to do this with Mappoint?

2. There are many left turns in the route. Can I set it up to minimize right turns?
