What is the latest version of Mappoint europe?

Hi,
I have purchased a version of mappoint europe but I read somewhere they issue a new release every year to keep the maps updated. does anyone know either the current version, or where I can get this info from?

Did you purchase MapPoint 2002? That's the latest version. The new one will probably be called MapPoint 2004 and will come out this summer.

I think the reason they skipped a year was to focus on the launch of MapPoint .NET (now called MapPoint Web Services). I don't know if they will wait two years again for the next version, but I doubt it..

Note there was a recent article on how you may have some success merging the AutoRoute 2003 data ($30-ish I think) into MapPoint 2002 Europe: http://www.mp2kmag.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=84&key=autoroute.2003.mappoint .
