View Full Version : List of Clients Identified by "Nearby Places" function

I'd like to know if it is possible to print off the list of nearby places or copy and paste these into word.

I have planned a route between two clients and used the nearby places function to identify other clients within 10 km of the route. I'd like to print off this list, preferably with contact details.

Is that possible?

Many thanks

While there isn't a way to copy and paste the records for all pushpins within 10 km, there is the ability to draw a 10km shape with the Radius Tool and Export To Excel by right-clicking on the shape.

That may be an option, I really just need to create a list of thew companies appearing inside the radius outside MapPoint.

When I right-click the radius shape, I get the options to copy, paste, zoom and route. How do I export? I don't see the option.

Many thanks!

You have to select the shape by clicking upon the line.
In fact, you might do well to make the interior a color using the paint bucket, then it will be easy to select and right-click.

Excellent, this works!

I use the free form tool to create a shape over the top of the area marked by the "nearby Places" function. As you say, right clicking here exports all the name and addresses of the companies underneath.

Many thanks for your help, that has saved me hours of work.

The right-click "Export to Excel" feature is probably the #1 best function users don't know about, it's a great built in capability of MapPoint.
