I would like to know if someone can help me with 2 important issues. I use MapQuest, which only lets you put 26 addresses in (a-z), but it allows you to have your first entry as your starting point and then any address you put in after that, you can make entire route either shortest time or shortest distance. According to Mappoint and Streets and Trips, if you put in 40 addresses, it will order them in the order you entered them. Can you just hit a button or something to reorganize the route to save time and distance? Second, what is the easiest way to add notes to the address, such as name of person who lives there and any other info I would like to add?

You can hit the optimize button and then switch some around, if you wish, with the route planner pane.

When you import your addresses, include a column that will match the Note column in the import wizard.

Same subject ... I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between MapPoint and Streets & Trips. Anyone?

The same versions of MapPoint and Streets & Trips should have the same street data, but MapPoint has demographic data you can visualize via zip code, census tract, county, etc. shading.

Also, all the features of MP/ST can be automated in MapPoint via a COM API. So MapPoint licenses can be automated with other applications.
