Hi I am returning to this site after a number of years. I have a question about MapPoint. I want to be able to replace my clent's store locations with their logo instead of a pushpin. Is that possible? If so, how does one go about accomplishing that?

Cheers!

Welcome back!

Yes, it's real easy to do. In the drop-down where you set the Pushpin Symbol, there is a button to Import a Custom Symbol. A few different graphics formats are supported, but not all, so you might need to convert your client's logo first.

Thanks Eric,

Now I have another problem. MapPoint is saying that the bitmap file is too large. The image is currently 220x159 pixels and MapPoint only allows 128x128 pixels maximum. Is there any way to reduce the image size?

Cheers!

I use HyperSnap, but I think Windows Paint would be sufficient to resize a bitmap... if you have trouble feel free to post it here as an attachment and I could resize it for you.

By the way, I really like HyperSnap as a simple multi-purpose graphics editor and recommend it :-)
