drivetime zone export problems

Hi out there!
A couple of days ago I downloaded the drivetime export tool mentioned in a posting by E. Frost:
- There is a link at the bottom of this newsletter: http://www.mp2kmag.com/update/?id=5 It is the last item. -

At the beginning this tool worked quite well. But today I am not able anymore to export to a mif-file.

Does anybody know why or how this could be?
Or rather: how do I get it working again?
Unfortunately I'm not able to read all of Error message but it says something like: Error reported in 'WriteTextLines' procedure: 429: Objekterstellung ...

Any help would be great

Did you see that article that sample utility is compiled from? ( http://www.mp2kmag.com/importersub01.asp ) I'd recommend go to that and debugging from there.. When I compiled that utility for the newsletter I remember running into some shapes the code would not handle without some tweaking and presumably you've found more cases..

You might try starting over with a clean map -- it could be there's an errant line or point somewhere that's it's tripping up on.

Hello Eric,

thank you for pointing me into that direction.
However, what do you mean by debugging? I don't have VB, so I can't eliminate the error in this manner.

Besides, the error message also says something like object-building by ActiveX-component not .....

Does anybody have a clue?

Did you try starting over with a clean map? The errors I was getting (I did clean up some!) were related to some object it was trying to export that it could not handle..

I really don't know of a commercial tool that would come with support for exporting.. that sample and code was really just meant as a sample. Do you local VB programmer who can help you out?

Hi Eric again,
thank you for your advice.
I thought, maybe I could handle it without touching the code, for the tool already worked fine.

Yes, I tried it with a clean map already. But the same error message showed up. Unfortunately, I don't have VB programmer here. I myself know VBA (for Access basically), but that wouldn't help, since I don't have development environment to debug, test, compile and so on.

But thanks again
JB
