Hello,

COO who wears many hats...one of which is data mapping, analysis, presentation etc.
I am always looking for more efficient ways to get answers and simplify the process.
My main stumbling block is knowing what is possible as it applies to automating and programming with MapPoint. I have been working with MapPoint for approx 10 years.

Welcome!

Just about everything can be automated, the help file is really good for explaining the object model including the methods, objects, properties, events, etc.

Thanks Eric!
Two questions:
1.) I ordered and received MapPoint 2011. It was billled under a different name but the email address used for confirmation is mine. I sent in my username (sfx) with "MapForums Plus Activation". Q- Just want to be sure it was received so I can start using the downloads section.
2.) MapPoint Installation-2011 installs but when I open it up I get the following pop up message
"Your Registry Settings for this app were not copied correctly. To correct these settings, run setup again for this application from the location you originally installed it"
This showed up the first time I tried to install. I have no other versions of MapPoint on this laptop (Dell xps m1330, Vista Ulitimate OS).

1.) Done!

Regarding #2.) there's some kind of registry permissions problem, and there are several possible work-arounds. :-(. Here's one user who solved the issue this way --
