Is there a way to create a map of flight patterns? For example:
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://simplecomplexity.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/flightmapcolor2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://simplecomplexity.net/flight-patterns-as-art/&usg=__aJt2850eMhkL6DTMUHC2xGXKa9Y=&h=768&w=1024&sz=482&hl=en&start=16&sig2=CphFw_DVnuUI9A4TEqbICg&zoom=1&tbnid=C9ulLAfwtuMe5M:&tbnh=150&tbnw=190&ei=2MbeTbjWEcTz0gGI5e2cCg&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dflight%2Bpattern%2Bmaps%26hl%3Den%26s a%3DX%26biw%3D1012%26bih%3D780%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=334&page=2&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:9,s:16&tx=119&ty=76&biw=1012&bih=780

I just want to display that gentle arc between two airports, not the actual path of the airplane. Thanks.

Hi Mike,

If you have lat/lon pairs, you could draw straight lines using one of the tools in our MapForums Downloads (http://www.mp2kmag.com/update/mappoint.newsletter/2011-05-05/) section ($99).

I believe if you zoom out, the projection changes and they would become arcs.
