I am a new member to this forum and new to MapPoint. I'm trying to train myself by playing with it and reading specific help topics, but time is of the essence on a new project that I have. It would be helpful to use a book like MapPoint for Dummies but it was published in 2002 and I am using MapPoint 2011.

Would that book be useful at all, knowing the updated version I am working with?

Thanks for any guidance....

The book MapPoint for Dummies is still very relevant for learning how to use MapPoint. I would say 99% of what would read in the book still applies. I do actually use the book regularly in classroom training sessions.

That said, there have been some new features. Peruse newsletters at MP2K Update Archives - MP2K Magazine (http://www.mp2kmag.com/update/) to be apprised of all the new features. The most important thing is probably the Map Settings pane introduced with MapPoint 2010.
