I'm (relatively) new to mappoint. I have no problem importing & linking, creating my maps and the way they look. I have several datasets and maps in those datasets. Is there any way to flip between them? Some sort of one click presentation mode? Thanks!

Hello and Thanks for your post!
What version of MapPoint are you using? With MapPoint 2010 (I think, maybe 2009) they added a right-click open on the Legend that lets you hide datasets.
Or -- to switch between maps, I often start a presentation with say 10 copies of MapPoint open at the bottom in the task bar and then walk through them. It saves a little time during the presentation to have them all open beforehand.

I'm running 2011 and trying to decide to use this or something else for mappering.

Do you see the Hide Pushpin Set option in the menu when you right-click?
For getting familiar with MapPoint and learning the capabilities, I recommend the Tutorials in the help file, they give a pretty good overview.
Also the Youtube videos mentioned in a recent newsletter --

Bizarrely, "hide pushpin" isn't a part of the colored mappings. Although a multiple move, a hide feature for colored mappings would work. I would settle for a "first, previous, next, last" set of buttons that would cycle through the over view list. SO close yet sooo far. Will look through that video. thx.

I tend to just have multiple saved maps and have them all opened before the presentation. Then it's easy to switch between using the taskbar or alt-tab.

Yes, saw that earlier. I'm just going to paste them right into PowerPoint. Going to have too much going on to be flipping around applications.
