I have written software that was compiled in vb6 with Mappoint Control 13.
One of my users has installed Mappoint 2010. My software still works OK, but he keeps getting an error message from MSGeoBalloonHelper.exe (presumably a MP2010 component?)
The message reads
'The instruction at 0x600337d3 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be 'read'. Click on OK to terminate the program.

Any suggestions/info on MSGeoBalloonHelper.... google reports no matches!

MSGeoBalloonHelper must be a custom component someone did for that person. ?

According to the user the only software on the computer is winXP pro, my application, and Mappoint 2010 (europe). No other software, let alone custom software.

Have to talk with the user more I would think?

Maybe it was something installed with their copy of MapPoint -- if it came from an ISV that installed a product along with MapPoint (possibly unbeknownst to the end user..)
