All,
I have a database of roughly 250K some having bad addresses. I was wondering if I could plot everyone using map point and identify the bad address ones.

Thank you for your help
Bill

MapPoint will correctly plot 85% to 90% of your addresses and ask you about those it couldn't plot for verification.
Sometimes, it does get a few wrong and others it will only match to zip code.
There is a way to view the properties of the dataset imported, as well, if you choose to skip that part.
Further, you may choose, as we did, to code your own import method for more granular control.

You can identify bad addresses by using
the tool "IC-AddressValidation+Geocoding"

Have a look to the ONLINE - manual (http://wh-en.mappoint-tools.info/GA/index.htm#page=html/AddressValidation/IC-AdressValidation+Geocoding.htm)
Here is the download-link (http://profit100.eu/download/ic-business-tools.html)

Kind regards
Manfred

Also, there's a Geocode tool in the MapForums Downloads section ($99).

MapPoint Adddress Matching

While not particularly sophisticated, this does spit out the Result and Quality codes which you could sort on for further matching efforts.

More information about all the tools and macros (with source code) available was in a recent newsletter --

MapForums Downloads Section (http://www.mp2kmag.com/update/mappoint.newsletter/2011-05-05/)

Note that depending on your needs, there are more powerful address geocoding and scrubbing packages, but they can get pricey e.g. MapMarker and CASS certification tools http://www.google.com/search?q=Postal+CASS
