Is there a way to export the co-ordinates of the verticies of post-code areas in the UK?
I need to draw shapes on the map based on postcode areas: I can make mp2010 display the boundries using the teritory manager, but it would be good if I could save that info, either as a set of co-ordinates, or as a shape.
Any ideas?
I guess I could programatically scan the map , testing every possible latlon tp see if it's in or out of the teritory, and produce a large list of points that define the boundry, then eliminate the points that are not vertices, but that sounds like a lot of work!

Not from MapPoint, no. You can only get at the centroids by creating a postcode pushpin map and then exporting the pushpins.

For postcode data, try Royal Mail PAF data, or possibly Ordnance Survey Mastermap. Yes both cost money. Mastermap comes with a lot more and is priced accordingly; but a one-off PAF purchase might be acceptable? (it is also available with a subscription).

Yeah, MapPoint does not allow you to export the built-in boundaries. You could do what you said I suppose, but you can probably buy postcode boundaries from somewhere, hopefully for not too much money.
