 Was wondering a couple of items before I got into using my first copy of Mappoint. First, I am more concerned about data handling than I am the graphic features. So:
1. Can Mappoint take in, for example, a table of 500 customers and like 4,000 stores and then, tell me or help me find out:

a. What percentage of customers or how many customers are within 10 (or 15, or 20 etc) miles of a store?

b. Can I export the distances between each customer and each store back into a table for more calculations?

c. Last, can it also do something like the percentage or number of customers that have less that 10 mile or whatever distance to 2 (or 3 stores, etc).

Dan,

Assuming you have a table of correct addresses, you can automate your calculations through Microsoft Access or Excel. No need to export if you're using automation.

MapPoint can easily find out the number of customers within your specified radii and calculate the distances between each and any location you wish. It would not calculate the percentages for you, but that's easy.

Thanks Mike- that might be just good enough although I might want to export the calculations back to access to do the percentages. That's a requirement. Thanks for the input :!: - I'm fairly green with this new software. Hope it's not too difficult to understand.
