I'm a total newby on this: I'm aiming at retreiving street / nr / postcode / town out of the MapPoint Database. I mean all addresses not only POI, which is straight forward. Anyone who can advise me?

Do you mean you are trying to reverse geocode a point? Ie. take a coordinate and find the address at that coordinate?

If so, you have to perform your search using the MapPoint API (search these forums - a number of people have managed to get it to work but it is non-trivial).

Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean exactly?

We have a database of 108.000 addresses. Before we use them in a new TMS, we want to match the addresses against valid addresses...Also we want to create new addresses through this procedure...Hope I'm not too vague...:wacko2:

MapPoint is not designed to do this, I think you might be looking for a CASS certification tool or service? They can be pricey but save you a lot in postage.
