I just started teaching myself how to use this program yesterday and have a question. When I create my route and then print out the driving directions, my stops are listed by the contact name and I want each to be the actual business name. The only way I have found to do so thus far is to rename each individual site. There must be a better way as this is very time consuming. Do I need to just create a new .xls file that lists business name and address only and import that as my data set? My end goal is to have a printed route with the business name for each stop and have contact info as well. So far, i am just printing out my .xls file that has contact name, address, etc. and crossreferencing that to the address printed out on my printed route.

I think the solution is very simple.

At the beginning, when you import, specify the Business name in the Name column rather than the contact name.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the speedy response Eric!

I did as you recommended and it now shows the business name in my Route Planner, thanks. Any chance that there is a way to list both so I do not have to carry an excel list of the same businesses to cross-reference the contact names for each stop on my route? I know, give me an inch.....:)

Hehe, yeah just combine the fields in Excel.

Are you familiar with formulas in Excel? You can use a little text formula like this:

= B1 & " - " & B2
