I've an atypical problem.
In MapPoint 2010, desktop, is present a state called "western sahara", below Morocco.
I need to hide this state, that must seem that belong to Morocco.

My attempts have been:
1. open EUR_CD.MAD with an HEX editor (I think it's the file that contain this information)
2. find the text "western sahara" (in english and in the other languages)
3. replace it with ASCII 32 (space)

But... opening MapPoint the writing "western sahara" is still on the map!!
Any idea?

I don't think you're going to have too much success hacking the map data using a hex editor, but it would be simple to use a graphics editor and edit a map image.

I use HyperSnap to make screenshots and do simple editing of map images.
