Could someone please tell me which program or programs that I need to do the following:
- I would like to place a list of streets within a zipcode with no address number attached from an excel spreadsheet and and have a program optimize the list of streets starting from the 1st street I place in the Excel Spread Sheet to the last as if I were driving it.
- The problem, however is that I don't need to look at it neccessarily on a map, but I need it to take my streets and optimize it back on my spreadsheet so I can drive the route.
- It could be as little as 80 streets to 800 streets per zipcode.
- For this example, the first street I would like to start with would be (Main st. 60605), then I would place 400 more streets in random order, second street could be (Apple Blvd., 60605) and then the last street could be (Orange Cir, 60605).
- So basically I would need it to route a drivng route for newspapers from Main St and then find the closest st from Main St. then the next closest st from that and so on and so on, until it optimized all 400 streets in perfect order starting with Main St.
- Almost as if I were a postal truck trying to figure out from which street to the next is the fastest route.
- This software doesn't have to be perfect, but it would save me a great deal of time if it could put my streets in somewhat perfect order from a starting point of the the 1st street I give it.
