I was able to get a whole list of clients down onto the map (with their individual sales amounts) and now I want to colour code FSAs and somewhere, show the aggregate dollar amounts in the FSA.
Is that possible to do?

I'm creating something similar now for a client: I have numbered the clients and the legend will show, by color, the range of sales dollars into which they fall.
The map will be 36"x48"

Michael --- Is that summarizing within MapPoint to show to total by FSA or the original points? I'm not sure you are addressing supreme101's question?
supreme101 --- This is certainly possible to do within MapPoint, can you post a dozen or so sample points and I can post more detailed instructions, but here's roughly the steps you would follow --
Import your data using the Import Data Wizard. To Verify they all matched to the map correctly, you can just map them using the plain Pushpin Map Type.
After you have imported, right-click on your layer in the Legend and select Map Type. This time select a Shaded Area or maybe a Shaded Circle Map Type.
Now, the trick is, in the next dialog (see attached), under Show Data By, select Forward Sortation Area.

You're correct, Eric, I have an additional parameter in that the map I'm creating also shows Sales Rep Territories.
The solution offered here aggregates sales amounts by using colored numbered pushpins that represent ranges of sales dollars.
The clients names, addresses, and sales amounts are then shown on the legend with corresponding color.

helped a lot, thanks!
one thing i noticed while using this program; i use google maps to check the plots and not all of the postal codes are plotted accurately..sometimes they're a block or 2 away.
does anyone know if mappoint 2013 is more accurate in this sense?
