CHRISTCHURCH – NEW ZEALAND At last a powerful and proven spam protection for the AOL and IMAP communities. Firetrust Limited, makers of e-mail security software, including the popular MailWasher Pro and Benign, today announced the availability of MailWasher Pro for AOL and IMAP users. Now over 30 million AOL e-mail users have access to a solution that provides them with the benefits of spam-free e-mail. MailWasher Pro 3.2.0 works with AOL and IMAP clients to scan all incoming e-mail for annoying, offensive, and malicious junk e-mail. “MailWasher Pro is well known for being extremely easy to use and feature rich. AOL users are used to an intuitive easy to use interface, and so MailWasher Pro is a perfect fit. By utilizing the powerful features of our software with the AOL client, AOL users are protected from spam, and unwanted e-mail,” said Nick Bolton, CEO, Firetrust Limited. Unlike other antispam solutions which are integrated to the e-mail client, MailWasher Pro works outside the e-mail client, so users benefit from its powerful protection without downloading unwanted messages or viruses. Users can preview, delete, blacklist and even create an “invalid email address” message and send it back to the spammer making it appear that their e-mail address no longer exists. By reviewing and deleting content at the e-mail server, users are protected from objectionable content including graphics, web bugs are rendered inactive, bandwidth is protected, and viruses and malicious script is stopped from spreading. Nick Bolton says that Firetrust’s focus is on delivering the best combination of spam fighting tools, providing ultimate effectiveness, accuracy and low cost to consumers. Firetrust's ultimate goal is to totally eradicate spam altogether. At present MailWasher Pro is available on stand-alone PCs and laptops. An enterprise version of MailWasher Pro will be released later this year for use on server networks. System Requirements And Availability MailWasher Pro is available for purchase and download through the Firetrust website. MailWasher Pro is priced at $US29.95 for a single user-license with discounts available for volume licensing. A free 30-day trial version can also be downloaded from the site. MailWasher Pro works with Microsoft Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000 and XP operating systems. It is compatible with all pop3 e-mail programs, including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook™ and Outlook Express™, Netscape™ and Eudora™; AOL, IMAP, MSN and Hotmail e-mail accounts. Mail washer pro v3.3 does not authenticate properly with the AOL Server, if some could advise of a work around please message me, I have tried on both working dialup and adsl connections and get the same error message "AOL/OSCAR Authentication Failed"
I 'm certain all info for the mail account is correct.
