Creating Territories visually using sales value

Hi

I'm new to Mappoint, so this may be a simple one. I have created territotories from clusters of zip/post codes. I know the value of sales in each post code (and can import that value). How can I change territories and find out the total value of the new territories? I would like to alter the territories from the territory view (so I can add and subtract as areas as I go), checking the territory values as I go. Any ideas?

Territories don't have this dynamic functionality built-in... you might try with a spreadsheet and then flip back and forth to your map.

I know there are some higher-end GIS territory tools, not sure what they cost and I can't think of one to recommend, but you might try searching on directionsmag.com.

Bizarely, after calling microsoft support, talking for 1 hour with them, and learning I had more experience than they did (any body else experince this?) I discovered the solution. I mapped nominal territories by postcode, imported data by postcode and tied it to the territory. This gives me a total for each territory (in whatever format). When I then alter the territory structure, remap the same data, and I get a new total per territory.

Confusing, but it works. Anything I've missed which disputes I've got the answer I was looking for?
