Is there a way to map the US demographic data onto custom
territories?
I created some territories but when I run the data mapping wizard and get to the data field page, it lists a variety of levels to map the US data by (county, state etc) but not my territories...When i do this it just gives me a map of the entire country which is not particularly helpful...
thanks!

MapPoint will not do demographics by your custom territories, but there are some add-ins that will perform that function. See if www.tetrad.com and www.mapbridge.com do what you are looking for (there are probably others I am not thinking of at the moment).

so mappoint will only do US demographics for the country at large??
how about just the counties within a single state?

the mapbridge add-in is only good for areas less than 100 miles wide....
and i didn't see any add-ins on the tetrad site....
any others that you can think of?

It will do demographics at all the lower levels you see listed.. you can also get them out be drawing a rectangle over an area, right-clicking and selecting "Export to Excel". Maybe you can combine the counties to get the numbers you need.
On Tetrad it's called PCensus.

ok....i guess once i get it into excel, I can then reimport the list as a custom data set, and it would color in that state the way i would want...
to select the data though, do i have to use a rectangle or other drawing shape? it wont let me export to excel if i just click on the state name....
