Faulty import from Excel + MP2004 Europe

..this used to be OK in MP 2002 with same input..
1. Import data from Excel sheet using wizard to pushpins
2. Skip those it is unsure of
3. Finish

There are some addresses MP automatically plots incorrectly. In this case one example is "Eccles Close, York, YO30 5DX". This address is not found by "Find", but the import plots it without complaint in a different postcode and road (though still York).

Apart from go back to MP2002, any ideas..?
Is there a way of checking Pushpin data against where it is in MP?

Cheers,
Loo

:D OK the problem is caused by the upgraded version of Mappoint which tries to be 'clever' and map the addresses to 'street level' not just postcodes (as before). This leads to the incorrect plotting of addresses even if the postcode is not recognised (i.e. it defaults to use street address rather than postcode if postcode is not recognised).
DON'T DO THIS IF YOU NEED PINPOINT ACCURACY!

To overcome this, when the columns of data are displayed select 'other data' in the drop down lists for everything other than postcode.

It was due to the talents of Simon who worked this out.

Thank you Simon.

We love you :D
