We get quite a few enquiries like yours. Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't offer detailed Australian map data for MapPoint, and it is not possible to add your own data to MapPoint. So you will have to wait until Microsoft adds Australian coverage - unlikely in the next 12-18 months, but a distinct possibility in the medium term.
