Hi

I would like to know whether it is possible to create a new map in Mappoint 2004. My problem is I live in Sri Lanka, and Mappoint 2004 websites says Mappoint is for only US and Europe, therefore is it possible for me to create a map of Sri Lanka in Mappoint 2004?

And if can, will I be able to use the other features of Mappoint 2004 on this map, just like in a map of US or Europe?

At present, I have a map of Sri Lanka, in a raster image and arc info format.

Quick answer: no.

In theory you could add some annotation to the base map using polygons, polylines, etc. But it is impossible to add roads, adiministrative boundaries,etc to the MapPoint database.
