Out of the box, MapPoint will only print maps as large as the largest page size of your printer.

In this TIP we will show how to print a Large map spanning several pages. You could then for instance tape together several 8.5 by 11 pages of a map which is 36 by 36 inches.

The trick is to first print to a PDF file. PrimoPDF is a free PDF document generator which acts as a virtual print file. Here are the steps.

Download and install PrimoPDF.

Prepare your MapPoint map and Print, selecting PrimoPDF as the printer.

Now, go into Properties, find the Advanced button, and in here you can set the PDF page size, see below.

Here's a 3 x 3 feet PDF of MapPoint's default United States (http://www.mapforums.com/images/articles/United_States.pdf) view.

The resulting PDF can then be sent to any size printer. Adobe's Acrobat reader and other PDF viewers have many options for resizing and spanning pages when printing.
